I recently shot a series of portraits of my girlfriend in my local launderette. I think a launderette is a very good place for taking portraits because usually one has nothing to do but to think and observe the surrounding. Therefore, people can be captured in a ‘real’ kind of mood.

Another shot from London, this time the famous Harrods building.  I think it is really impressive and simply a great piece of architecture. The typical London bus on the picture adds just the right amount of London-flair to the photo.

Open Tower Bridge at Night

The Tower Bridge in London is probably one of the world’s nicest bridges. At night it is especially great since the lights create a very monumental atmosphere.  As you can see on the second picture the bridge actually is a bascule bridge and the bascules are still raised about 1000 times per year.

The first shot was taken on new years eve with the help of a tripod whilst the second one dates back a little longer and was shot from hand. Hence the light atmosphere is different due to the differing shutter speeds.

A nice girl with sun-lit cheeks, a bottle of lemon-flavoured beer and a perfect blue sky. They call it summer.

Winter in Bayern

When I spent my christmas holidays in Germany I made a trip to the Aber mountain near Lam, Bavaria. What I found there was this wonderful winter landscape you can see in the background of this photo. It must have been so coled the night before that the snow froze sidewards from the twigs.

Within the next days I will post some more pieces from this day.

I took this shot at the so called Asmannskotten near Wermelskirchen in Germany. Isn’t the lushy green great? When looking at this picture I instantly want to go for a long walk through untouched nature.

Tree and Moon edited

The tree on this picture stands just at the end of our road in Luton. At night you can sometimes see it lit magically as you can see on the photo. The sparkling little thing in the background is the moon by the way, as you might have already concluded from the title. And please give a little attention to the branches and twigs and how they reflect the light from a nearby street light.
